Tester & Jones team supports the launch of the Crowborough and District Chamber of Commerce
Stephen Tester and Glenys Jones from Tester & Jones were among more than 100 people who turned out for the launch of the Crowborough and District Chamber of Commerce on 27 September.
Among those who came along to find out more were representatives from all types of businesses in the town and surrounding areas – from High Street retailers like Waitrose and Zest to local accountancy firms and marketing companies. The town’s mayor, Councillor Key Moss, lent her support, as did representatives from other local chambers from Uckfield and Edenbridge.
A founding committee – including Jeremy Woolger from On My Doorstep as president and chairman and Gordon Philips from HSBC as treasurer - has set up the Chamber and has already planned a number of events, including networking evenings and lunches.
The Chamber promises to take a proactive approach in representing businesses in the town and has already commissioned a business survey, the initial results of which were shared during the launch event.
“The evening was a great success and showed how strongly people feel about being part of the community here in Crowborough,” said Stephen Tester. “We have signed-up already and are looking forward to working closely with the new Chamber in the future. It is a really positive development for Crowborough.”
