Tester & Jones supports local charity
Recently, Glenys Jones from Tester & Jones and Yvonne Taylor, a member of the Tester & Jones Bereavement Support Group, took part in a five-mile sponsored walk over the Ashdown Forest to raise money for the Crowborough-based charity World In Need (WIN).
WIN is a Christian organisation seeking to help men, women and children in some of the most disadvantaged areas in the world to overcome the suffering, povety and difficulties that they face in their daily lives. It has worked in some 20 countries - including Afghanistan, Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, Kenya and Nigeria – and its mission statement is: ‘Changing attitudes through aid and education’.
In total, 28 walkers enjoyed a beautiful autumn morning on the Forest and more than £1,400 was raised for World In Need.
