Will Bayley wins a gold
Tester & Jones is delighted to learn that Groombridge-based table tennis player Will Bayley won a gold medal in Split, Croatia last weekend at the European Championships. The Paralympian recently secured a place in the GB team for the London 2012 Paralympics and this recent success means that his Olympic plans are well and truly on course.
Stephen Tester is Vice President of The Rotary Club of Crowborough and the organisation recently donated money to Will Bayley.
Will was born with a rare congenital disorder which affects the use of his limbs. When he was diagnosed with cancer at the age of eight, his grandmother bought him a table tennis table to help him through his recovery. He took to the game quickly and began playing competitively aged 12.
