Burials
Many people still chose to be buried and we can talk to you about your options - whether you are buried in a local cemetery or in the growing number of natural burial places.

The choice is a little limited, due to availability, and could be in a churchyard (if a parishioner), or local cemetery. Examples of those available in Kent and Sussex are Crowborough, Rotherfield and Tunbridge Wells.

There are some natural burial grounds locally where there is no memorialisation and the ground is sown with wild grasses and flowers. The coffin provided might be cardboard, seagrass, water hyacinth, banana leaf, bamboo or wicker - all of which are environmentally friendly.

It is also possible to have a burial on private ground, subject to certain conditions and restraints being considered.
