We are very sad to share the news that our colleague Lorna Ashworth is leaving the team here at Tester & Jones Funeral Services. She’s been with us since October 2017 and is very often the first person our families meet when they come through our door.
Lorna is returning to her native Canada with her family to take up an exciting new job opportunity and she leaves with our very best wishes for her new life.
We are not only waving ‘goodbye’ to Lorna but will very much miss her husband Reverend Mark Ashworth too. Mark is the minister at Holy Trinity Church in High Hurstwood and has conducted a large number of funeral services for us over the years and we know he’s been a great support to many families.
“It has been a privilege supporting people through what can feel like a suspended reality from the time someone passes away until the time of the funeral,” says Lorna. “I have genuinely enjoyed the opportunity to serve people, helping them to navigate their way through this initial stage of loss.”
