Meet Louise

Here at Tester & Jones Funeral Services, we were delighted to welcome Louise Stapple to our team recently as a Funeral Arranger. She joins having gained experience at another local funeral director, while she also worked at the Kent & Sussex Crematorium for a while, alongside our Branch Manager, Sharon.

In her crematorium role, she dealt with tasks including ashes internments and burials. While there, she also got to know the local funeral directors.

“You notice how the different firms portray themselves and it was clear that the team from Tester & Jones was always professional and easy to deal with,” says Louise. “That certainly gave me confidence when joining the firm that they would be a good place to work. I already feel like I’ve been here years.”

She continues: “Tester & Jones is such a lovely team and everyone has been so warm and welcoming, as well as being very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. I get up wanting to come to work and that feels like a privilege. That warmth and professionalism certainly extends to our families and so many people who get in touch say they’ve come to us, as Tester & Jones has been strongly recommended.”

Louise says she’s really enjoying her role with Tester & Jones.

“It’s busy and my job involves a lot of organisation,” she says. “But, I like dealing with the families and reassuring them that we are looking after them and their loved one. Sometimes they come in very stressed but leave looking so much more relieved, as they can see we are there to support them and gently navigate them through this period.”

“Working here is so interesting and there’s always something to learn,” Louise adds. “We deal with different faith funerals, while every service is unique to that particular person, it’s fascinating to discover the different ways of doing things.”

When she’s not at work, Louise enjoys walking her dog, cooking and spending time with family, while she also sings in a country band.
