We have held two well-attended open afternoons this week for local clergy and staff from care homes in and around Crowborough. They’ve had a chance to see ‘behind the scenes’ at our premises and to ask questions about the service we provide.
Team members – from funeral arrangers to bearers - explained a little about what they do and visitors were able to see where coffins are prepared and where family members can view their loved one, as well as taking at look at our recently upgraded mortuary. We also provided tea and cake.
Visitors told us that they found this opportunity really useful and enlightening and our whole team has enjoyed welcoming them in.
Among the clergy who visited was Reverend Sharon Francis from St Thomas the Apostle Church in Groombridge, who told us:
“It was really interesting for my team and I to see behind the scenes at Tester & Jones today. We were very impressed by their professionalism and the care they obviously show to both the deceased and their families. I’m sure the tour and chat will help us when families have any questions.”
