Along with colleagues from SAIF (The National Society of Allied and Independent Funeral Directors) Stephen recently took part in the Kee Cup golf tournament at The Warwickshire Golf and Country Club.
Now in its 28th year, the two-day match brought together funeral directors and funeral suppliers to compete for a cup, named in memory of the late Gordon Kee, co-founder of Golden Charter. This year the funeral directors were the winners.
The event raised £2500 for PAPYRUS, a charity dedicated to the prevention of suicide and the promotion of positive mental health and emotional wellbeing in young people, which is this year’s chosen charity of SAIF National President Jo Parker.
PAPYRUS was founded in 1997 by a group of bereaved parents, who had each lost children to suicide.
