We recently supported a local Crowborough family with the funeral of their loved one who had been involved with Crowborough Rugby Football Club for many years. In these difficult times, we felt proud to be able to support them to create a funeral which reflected this gentleman. It was very moving to witness the tribute paid to him by his fellow rugby club members, family and friends.

"Independent funeral directors have found meaningful ways to support families during the lockdown. One of these is Tester & Jones Funeral Services of Crowborough, East Sussex, who arranged a rugby funeral for a local gentleman.
A small number of mourners gathered at the firm’s London Road premises before the cortege travelled past the family home and then Crowborough Rugby Football Club. As the cortege passed the club, members in club shirts and blazers lined the streets and applauded. We think this is brilliant and would love to hear about the imaginative ways in which you’ve helped families affected by funeral service restrictions."
