Glenys was delighted to be invited to the 100th anniversary celebrations of Rotherfield Bowling Club recently. "It was a lovely afternoon in the sun and everyone was so friendly and welcoming," she said. "They are always looking for new members."
We've been supporting this bowling club for a number of years now and recently put up a new banner there. Based within the Recreational Ground in the village, Rotherfield Bowling Club was established in 1921 and has around 50 members.
During the season (from April to September) the Club plays league and friendly matches and also runs internal competitions. Its main practice time is Monday afternoon when all levels of ability are welcomed. Members can practice at any time and coaching is available. The Club also holds various fundraising events throughout the year, including coffee mornings, fun days and club competitions.
