The November meeting of our Bereavement Support Group at Barnsgate was attended by 48 people, who enjoyed meeting together for a chat over coffee. This month the group also benefited from a very informative talk on fire safety in the home from Trevor Funnell and his watch from Crowborough Community Fire Station.
Members discovered some very useful hints and tips and around a dozen signed-up on the spot for a Home Safety Visit.
Our Bereavement Support Group is an opportunity for us to further support families following the death of a loved one.
Member Brenda explained recently: “If it wasn’t for Bereavement Group, there are some members who possibly might not go out socially. I think we’ve all become a little stronger, more independent and more confidence as a result of Bereavement Group.”
